About me
I was initially formed in Biochemistry (Temple University), and then I did doctoral studies in physiological sciences, specialising in Biochemistry, Metabolism and immunology. I was a professor for more than 30 years at the Faculty of Medicine and the Institute of Immunology of the Faculty of Medicine of Universidad Central de Venezuela. My big area of expertise is inflammation, with ample background in immune response, cell metabolism, lipidomic, signal transduction and pharmacology. Currently, I am involved in a project on Cancer and immune response and others in Covid and long Covid (pending funding).
